Our research should be inspectable, not mysterious.
BlackFridayRadar uses agents to accelerate research and organization, but automation is not treated as evidence. Product identity, claims, citations and current Amazon data pass separate checks before a page can be published.
From candidate to page
The sequence matters: later stages cannot repair a mixed-up product or an unsupported claim.
Step 1
Verify the exact product
We lock the brand, model, generation and Amazon US listing before research begins. A title search may help discover a candidate, but it cannot silently replace the selected ASIN or mix generations.
Step 2
Build an evidence pack
Manufacturer material supports specifications. Independent sources support experience and comparative observations. Important claims keep their source, locator and short excerpt so an editor can audit the conclusion.
Step 3
Preserve disagreement
Comfort, ANC, microphone and durability findings often vary by method or user. We report the disagreement and its likely context instead of averaging it into a house score.
Step 4
Run checks, then require approval
Agents organize research and draft the page. Deterministic checks validate identity, citations, unsupported language and content structure. A human approves the exact content hash before publication.
Step 5
Refresh commercial data separately
Amazon images, variants and current offers come from the permitted Amazon adapter and never become editorial evidence. Offers disappear after their one-hour window; other missing or stale data is hidden rather than invented.
What “research-based” means
We do not claim hands-on testing unless it actually happened. Research-based pages attribute observations to their sources and distinguish manufacturer specifications from independent use reports.
How affiliate revenue fits
We may earn a commission when a reader buys through an Amazon link. That does not change the editorial verdict. Price, availability and commission data do not count as evidence that a product is better.

The travel-headphone shortlist exposes fit, trade-offs and missing evidence instead of hiding them behind a score.
